FILOMENA FANELLI

Counselors Academy Executive Committee member Filomena Fanelli originally planned to be a preschool teacher. Then she fell in love with PR. Now she's CEO and founder of Impact PR & Communications, an award-winning public relations agency in Poughkeepsie, New York, where she schools clients like Angry Orchard, the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill, Tompkins Mahopac Bank and PDQ on the art of sharing their stories. 
 
Her firm has been making the grade, with recognition as a “Top Women-Run Workplace of the Year” by the Stevie® Awards and numerous honors, including 11 PRSA Mercury Awards, for outstanding client campaigns.
 
Fanelli has been honored for her community involvement, too. She was named both an ATHENA International honoree and one of the top women in business in her region, gracing the cover of Hudson Valley magazine in 2018.
